Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards

Delicious wine, great food, and beautiful views - Pippin Hill is a highlight of Charlottesville. We suggest booking reservations early to enjoy lunch on the Veranda.

Walk-in parties are welcome for grab-and-go lawn seating and may bring their own blankets and chairs for use on the grass. You can order food from the grab-and-go menu and wine by the bottle and lawn wine tasting flights.

King Family Vineyards

King Family Vineyards is a family owned and operated vineyard and boutique winery located in Crozet, Virginia, 15 minutes west of Charlottesville. It is one of Amanda & Michael's favorites!

You may bring your own food to the vineyard. If staying in or near Charlottesville, grab a sandwich at Take It Away to enjoy during your visit.

Breweries & Cideries

- Potter's Craft Cider

- Pro Re Nata Brewery

- Blue Mountain Brewery

- Three Notch'd Brewing Co.

UVA Grounds & Monticello

The University of Virginia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site based on Thomas Jefferson's architectural vision. Walk around the Rotunda, the Lawn, and the Academical Village, as well as enjoy the many gardens tucked behind beautiful serpentine walls.

Monticello is the home of Thomas Jefferson. Due to its architectural and historic significance, the property has been designated a National Historic Landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Carter Mountain Orchard

Just minutes from downtown Charlottesville and Monticello, visitors overlook lush groves and breathtaking views of the valley below. Against this stunning backdrop, families and friends can pick sun-ripened peaches and crisp apples while breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Try their delicious Apple Cider Donuts if you visit!

Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park lies astride a beautiful section of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a Virginia treasure known for Skyline Drive, hiking trails, waterfalls, historic lodges, and wildlife viewing. The scenic roadway Skyline Drive takes you through the 105 mile long park, providing more than 75 overlooks with spectacular vistas.

Mary's Rock, Hawksbill Summit, and Little Devil's Stairs are a few of our favorite hiking trails.
